Course overview
Barden Network Engineering offers The Smart Awards SA001 Overhead Safety accreditation to ensure that those who work on ladders and wooden poles do so by following safe working practices.
The SA001 accreditation covers three modules:
Overhead Safety
Pole Checking
Joint User Poles.
The course provides learners with valuable skills as well as knowledge of any hazardous risks involved with telecommunications.
Learners that successfully complete this 3 day course will be awarded a full accreditation certification for Smart Awards SA001 Overhead Safety.
Valid for 3 years.
Course aims:
Working Safely
Be able to access a pole using a ladder.
Understanding of relevant health and safety legislation
Good practice of working overhead safely.
Be able to carry out pole checking.
Understanding of working safely on joint poles.
This course is aimed at entry-level and novice workers within the telecommunications and civils industry.
This course is available to any over the age of 16.
There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification.
